Former Toledo Mayor, Mike Bell, who also served as Toledo’s youngest and first African-American Fire Chief, as well as the State Fire Marshal, visited with our Leadership Academy students this week. He shared interesting stories, ranging from his visits with several United States Presidents, to his time as a member of the University of Toledo Rocket Football Team. His main message centered on the idea that who we become in life is not predicated by where we begin our journey, or even each chapter along the way, but by whether or not we give up when we face adversity.

Mr. Creech’s AP Art History students crossed the road today to get to the other side so that they could visit a chapel that is a replica of one in Assisi, Italy. Students focused their attention and documentation on the architecture and craftsmanship in this remarkably beautiful hidden gem right in our own hometown.
