The Northview LadyKats XC Team headed north of the border today, and brought home the first place team trophy at the South Lyon Cross Country Invitational. Thanks to Mrs. Dilday for the pictures.
The Northview Cheer Team has been hard at work these past couple weeks, hosting an outstanding pep rally, painting and hanging signs of support for every team, club, and organization at Northview, in addition to hosting a camp for young girls who are interested in learning how to be cheerleaders. The girls took the field at halftime with their Lady Kittens for a halftime performance in front of a packed house on opening nights. Thank you NV Cheer for working hard to maintain our positive school climate and culture.
NV iMedia Students and budding journalists will have the opportunity in the near future to explore the world of broadcast journalism. Mrs. Blue and her students are busy getting the space ready for students to write, create, film, direct, produce, and edit. We are looking forward to this new avenue that students can take to develop their talents, explore that interests, and shine on a big stage.
The Northview Wildcats Football Team opened at home last night, and rolled to a 42-20 victory. Read about the game here. Check out pre-game and post-game highlights below.
The Northern Lakes League agreed to this week to allow BCSN to have the exclusive right to advertise and broadcast live athletic contests on television. This new three year contract will not only bring new revenues to our expanding athletic programs, but will also give us a chance to showcase other parts of our learning community that do not always garner the same headlines as our athletic teams. Last night’s football game was the first step in that new agreement, and not only did the Football Team, Cheer Team, and Band take a piece of the spotlight, the BCSN crew spent time this week doing some in depth pieces on academic and performing arts programs as well. In the coming months, BCSN will cover several Northview athletic contests live as part of their new BCSN Nation program, which will give us a chance as a school and a broader Sylvania community to let the rest of northwest Ohio know about the many, many great things happening in our corner of the world. Check out a few pieces from the expanded coverage below. You can catch these pieces and more on BCSN in the coming days, as they re-run them.
